Dr. Christian Neubauer, born 1969 in Schweinfurt, started studying Electrical Engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen in 1989.

After he finished his studies in 1995, he started at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits, working on several industry research projects. In 1998, research in the field of audio watermarking led to his Ph.D., which he received in 2001. Since then he is leading a group on "Multimedia Security Technologies" which is focused on applying security in the field of multimedia.

Dr. Neubauer is author of more than 20 publications mainly in the field of audio watermarking, and is invetor of several patents in that field.

Since August 2004, he is CEO of the company MusicTrace, which is focusing on the collection of utilization rights in the Internet and broadcast media for the music and advertising industry.

In his private life he is playing Oboe in various symphony orchestras, practicing Tai Chi and working on an open-source software project.
