Public Voice Symposium: Privacy in a New Era: Challenges, Opportunities and Partnerships

This conference aims to provide an opportunity for civil society leaders and academic experts, particularly in the New European Union Member States, to meet with European data protection authorities and to explore emerging challenges to the protection of personal privacy. The event will be held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the International Conference on Privacy and Personal Data Protection.

The 26th International Conference on Privacy and Personal Data Protection continues the tradition of meetings between data protection commissioners from various countries. The theme of this year's Conference is „Right to Privacy - Right to Dignity“. The sessions will provide an opportunity for data protection commissioners, international organisations representatives and representatives of various sectors of economy and the science world to exchange views and experiences related to the most recent problems in the field of privacy protection.

Open Innovation! Auf der Suche nach neuen Leitbildern

Konferenz der Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung in Kooperation mit der Technischen Universität Berlin und der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Innovation ist mit der modernen, fortschrittsorientierten Gesellschaft unauflösbar verbunden. Die Politik redet von ihr gerade dann immer, wenn es hakt mit dem Fortschreiten. Doch auch Innovationsmodelle fallen nicht vom Himmel und müssen dem Neuen, das nicht zuletzt durch die technische und mediale Entwicklung möglich geworden ist, Raum geben. Die Konferenz „Open Innovation!“ will ausloten, welche Anregungen für eine zeitgemäße Innovationsoffensive aus dem Geist des Internet zu gewinnen sind, der wichtigsten Basisinnovation der vernetzten, digitalen Gesellschaft.
